Welcome to my website. I'm a former independent journalist based in Scotland, currently living on woodland smallholding near Elgin with my family, where I'm raising four kids, hundreds of trees, and seven chickens with moderate success.

I originally worked in radio, multimedia and social media projects, particularly those with a strong focus on the environment, social or cultural issues. But since 2015, I have been focused primarily on family life, and hands-on land restoration, reforesting and re-wilding projects. I plan to return to my journalism once the kids are a bit older.

Radio and sound recording will always be my first love, but I have also developed a love of photography, particular exploring combinations vintage digital cameras and old manual lenses. I hope you enjoy my blog.
